Volunteer Opportunity: Spooky Can Drive FILLED

Food for Lane County is looking for responsible students that like to have fun. There are two parts to this volunteer happening. The first part takes place a week before Halloween. We will be placing small bright orange fliers on chosen neighborhood doorsteps announcing our service on Halloween. The second part is dressing up Halloween night, 6:30-8:30p and trick-or-treating for non-perishable food. The buddy system is encouraged so no one goes alone. One car for each group is a must because the food will get heavy. Each group is responsible for themselves and attaining a car. That evening at 9:30pm the donations collected will be dropped-off just over the Springfield bridge at 439 South 4th Street. If you would like to get involved please contact Kristal Martin at 541-515-1729 or send her an e-mail. (posted 10/4/2007)
