NEW WEDNESDAY ADVISORY

All students participate in a special Connections class every Wednesday before lunch. Seniors will meet in the auditorium during that time, where they receive important graduation and post-high school planning information. Students in grades 9-11 students meet with small groups within their individual schools.

Different Schedule for Different Schools?

Not for the 2006-07 school year.

For the first year or two, it will be easier for schools to share a common schedule in order to facilitate upperclassmen taking all of the classes they need for graduation, which may require students to take classes in more than one school.

However, the future years would likely have unique schedules and no bells for most of the day.

We predict that there will always be a portion of the day set aside that will be common to all schools. For example, the band and choir teachers have already expressed their desire to be able to pull from the entire student body to support their programs.
