Another great week of sports for North Eugene. There was some big wins and still a lot of potential for playoffs. If I were to pick a theme this week, it would be "work hard to the very end." We only have about two weeks left of league play. One exciting fact is that as of this moment, all of our teams are in the playoff hunt.
Football: Our last home game is tonight. Come cheer on your student athletes versus Crater. Football had a tough lost last Thursday. In my opinion the score did not reflect how the boys played. They are ready to bounce back tonight.
Volleyball: Varsity volleyball had two good wins this week and did not lose a set to either Eagle Point or Ashland. They have a tough tournament on Saturday and an even more important game against Crater on Tuesday. Our girls play well with a big crowd ... so come on Wednesday and get loud.
Girls Soccer: They have started their league play 2-0. They have so many amazing athletes on their team, you never know who is going to score. Come watch them versus Springfield on Wednesday to cheer them on.
Boys Soccer: They are also 2-0 in league and have a match versus Eagle Point on Saturday. My records go back to 2013 and Wednesday night was the first time North Boys soccer beat Thurston (Both JV and Varsity).
Cross County: They have a race on Saturday in Cottage Grove if you want to go cheer on our runner in the only sport where spectators have to be in shape
