HOOTS – Help Out Our Teens in Schools
HOOTS is still partnering with area high schools including NEHS to provide mental health support to our students even while we are in CDL.
HOOTS can provide crisis response (concerns of imminent suicide risk should still be referred to a first responder such as 911), short term care, and referrals to mental health resources in the community.
HOOTS say that no problem is too small. They help with anxiety, overwhelm, social isolation, break-ups, suicidal ideation, family difficulties such as divorce, anger, depression, etc.
HOOTS (Helping Out Our Teens in Schools) phone line is accessible from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Video support is available from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on weekdays and is accessed by emailing hoots@whitebirdclinic.org with your name and preferred time. We are able to provide short-term counseling and mental health support, resource referrals and OHP sign up.
