Change in Moratorium Week Dates
We are pleased to inform you that the OSAA has approved North Eugene High School's request to move our Moratorium Week to June 29th to July 5th (changed from the original July 27th-August 2nd). This change was made for various reasons that will benefit our overall program.
We fully recognize that some families may have already planned vacations during what was originally going to be Moratorium Week (July 27th-August 2nd). Please know that our coaching staff completely understands and respects these prior commitments.
We want to assure you that:
- Your child will not face any pressure to attend team events during the original Moratorium Week if you have prior plans
- No athlete will be penalized in any way for honoring family commitments made before this schedule change
If your family has pre-planned activities during the original Moratorium Week dates, there's no need for detailed explanations - simply let your child's coach know about the dates of absence.
During our new Moratorium Week (June 29th-July 5th), coaches will have no contact with athletes as per OSAA regulations.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we implement this schedule change. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
