Family Newsletter 10/5
Dear North Eugene Families,
October is here, and with it comes one of our favorite traditions—Homecoming! Next week is Spirit Week, and students can look forward to celebrating their Highlander pride in many ways. On Thursday, October 9, we’ll gather during Advisory for the Homecoming Assembly, followed by the Homecoming Football Game on Friday, October 10 under the lights. The week caps off with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 11 from 8:00–10:30 p.m. with the theme Rio—a vibrant, colorful celebration that promises to be unforgettable.
We’re excited to see our students showing spirit, cheering on their peers, and making lasting memories together. October is always a busy and exciting month at North, and we’re looking forward to sharing it with all of you.

As we head into the colder months, our classrooms and students could use a little extra support. If you’re able, we’d love donations of Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Expo markers, pencils, lined paper, composition books, and any other basic school supplies. Every little bit helps keep our students learning and our classrooms stocked!
📦 Please drop donations off in the Front Office. Thank you for helping keep our Highlanders healthy, supported, and ready to learn! ❤️
North Eugene Family Connections Survey
👋 Welcome Highlander Families!
We are excited to be exploring a new family connection and learning event at North Eugene. The idea is to bring families together to share resources, hear from speakers, and build stronger connections with our school and community.
Your input will help us decide what kinds of topics, speakers, and activities to include — and even what to call the event!
Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts. 💡

NORTH REGION COMMUNITY NEWS
Our Ask: We’re asking our community and school partners to nominate any high school aged youth that they’d think would be a good fit for the first iteration of our YAC. We’re hoping to gather a group that is diverse in skills, interests, and experiences, but overall, they should have a strong interest in youth mental health.
To nominate someone, you can visit the link here and fill out the form. You can also view the attached form for more information about the YAC and if you’d like to send it to a student, you can. Students can also nominate themselves.
All nominations need to be submitted by October 30th You can view our recruitment timeline on the attached flyer.
Thank you,
