Hello, November! 🍂 We're kicking off a new month with a short but busy week at North!

As we wrap up the grading period, here's a reminder that Thursday, November 5, is an Advisory Day, and Friday, November 6, is a Grading Day — NO SCHOOL for students. 

We're also excited for Puffs, with performances Thursday through Saturday! 🎭 Come out and support our talented Highlander performers!

We're kicking off our IB Learner Spotlight by celebrating two Highlanders who remind us that there's always something to learn from the people around us!

👏 Devin Beck & Shira Chadwin-Piltz are our September honorees for demonstrating the IB Learner Profile trait OPEN-MINDED.

Being open-minded means listening to different perspectives, welcoming new ideas, and recognizing that our own experiences are just one part of a much bigger world. 🌎

Congratulations, Devin and Shira! We love celebrating the students who make North a place where curiosity, kindness, and different ways of thinking belong. ❤️🤍

Puffs is a magical comedy that takes place at a certain school for wizards in England. Throughout the show, we follow The Puffs, a group of cozy, loyal, and kind students trying to make The Puffs better than ever. The story centers around Wayne Hopkins, Megan Jones, and Oliver Rivers, three students who are considered outcasts by the rest of the school, and their journey through their seven years at school. Puffs is funny, cozy, and will be a lot of fun to watch!

Running November 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Hello IB families!

Are you wondering about how to help your student with their stress level as they complete their IB classes? One tool we think might be helpful is for everyone to have access to our IB Assessment Calendar (linked here). This calendar has all major IB class deadlines for internal assessments, as well as all of our IB exam dates/times on it. 

Questions? Reach out to your student's IB teachers or to Kendall Larsen, IBDP coordinator, at larsen_k@4j.lane.edu. We want to help your students be successful and maintain sanity as they undertake these rigorous courses, and we know they can!
